General Meeting & Guest Speaker Series

Hello ISE students,

We hope that your semester is going well and you are enjoying your studies!

The Institute of Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS) Student Chapter at Auburn University is pleased to announce its first general meeting and guest speaker series in this semester.

We will be holding our 1st General Meeting and guest speaker series for the Fall 2016 Semester on October 12th at 4:00 PM in Shelby 3210. Please join us to hear more about our organization, and some more exciting news! Food will be served.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Daniel F. Silva and Dr. Jorge Valenzuela Topic: “What I wish someone had told me about the Academic Job Market”

Exciting news: In this event, three members from the audience will be selected to get $440 each to become a member of INFORMS for one year (see the benefits here) and attend INFORMS 2016 Annual Meeting in Nashville – Tennessee. This conference is a great opportunity in terms of research and career fairs for students. For more information check the conference website:

Eligibility: Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate. Candidates for the sponsorship must be a member of INFORMS Student Chapter at Auburn University and participate in the event. If you are not a member please sign up in the organization’s website.
